Phase 4 Learning Center, Inc. is a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit organization that helps at-risk and disadvantaged people earn their high school diploma and succeed in either higher education, the military, or the workforce.

Phase 4 offers a safe and caring learning environment focused on four phases of development: academic, social, behavioral, and future employment.

The Pittsburgh region’s largest private secondary school based on enrollment, Phase 4 provides life- changing programs and services to approximately 1,300 students and their families annually in southwestern PA and in Harrisburg.

Since its founding in 2003, the school’s graduation rate has averaged 98 percent.

Phase 4 reconnects the disconnected, giving at-risk and disadvantaged people a level playing field and support system based on access and opportunity, improving their chances for success beyond graduation.

Phase 4’s approach of providing hope and solutions and addressing regional workforce needs has received statewide and national attention. It has been named one of the 10 best model alternative education programs in Pennsylvania and was recognized by presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
